I am an ultra endurance single speed mountain bike racer and ultra gravel racer. I came to Tom after having a previous bike fit done which was done “OK” but it was just completed with no explanation of the why’s or how, and I still had lingering pain. When a normal race can be 7-10 hours in the saddle there is not room for lack of comfort. Tom promoted to not be that guy and I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of conversation and work that went into the fit he performed. I spent four hours with Tom where my fit was based off of my goals and what my body position my body was capable of and everything was explained to me, not only during the fit but well after the fit was done. Tom continues to go above and beyond well after the fit is over he responds promptly to all my messages, places my cleats in new shoes, etc, without charging extra . Tom helped me accomplish my 2019 goal of completing The Crusher a 225 mile gravel race which kept me in the saddle for almost 24 hours straight. Fit wise I was comfortable all day and night, and that is why I would highly recommend Tom Wiseman to anyone curious about a fitting.~~~~~Kenny Kocarek
I have known Tom Wiseman for over 30 years. Tom has always had a reputation as a top-notch bike mechanic in the area, but once I started having Tom take care of my bikes, I realized he not only has the skills, but puts pride into everything he does and truly treats your bike as if it was his own. Over the years I have seen Tom pursue further education in Bike Fitting and coaching. He has grown in both areas, and now is well respected Nationally and Internationally in both fields. I feel lucky to have Tom take care of my bikes, do my bike fittings and help advise my training. I would highly recommend him for any of those services. ~~~~~Ken Frankenbery
I’ve known Tom for approximately 28 years. During that time Tom has been the go to person for ALL of my cycling needs. We’ve raced against and with each other in both mtb and road events. When I decided to attempt the Race Across America (RAAM) solo in 2011 Tom was the mechanic on my support team. When I raced solo in the 2014 RAAM Tom was my personal coach/trainer who was instrumental in making that attempt a success. The skill and passion Tom brings as a rider, mechanic, bike fitter and coach is extremely rare to find in one person. Anytime I am asked who to go to for ANYTHING cycling related, I send them to Tom~~~~Michael McClintock
I had the privilege of working with Tom Wiseman several years ago. I was training for my first century ride and he suggested that I have a bike fitting. After about two months of training I finally agreed. I wanted to ride for awhile and then have the fitting so I could really appreciate the work he was going to do. And it was worth it! Tom took the time to answer all my questions and to address all the concerns that I had about my ride. He even made suggestion on how to train for my new adventure. His knowledge and attention to detail made that first century ride into a fabulous experience. My only complaint about the ride was the weather! Following that ride, I signed up for his coaching program. We met to discuss my goals and he tailored a program just for me. I entered the following spring season stronger and faster. My goals were to train without risking injury, to finish my next century stronger and to recover quicker. His coaching helped me meet and exceed those goals. At the end of that season, I found myself injured and I worked with him again to regain my strength on the bike. I have returned every season since stronger and more capable under his direction. Throughout that time, he has been available to answer all questions and to help correct issues that I find while riding. I might just be his pickiest rider, but I trust that he can resolve any fit or mechanical issue that I’m having. Tom’s dedication to his clients, his current knowledge and experience plus his continuing search for better ways to assist his clients is unmatched. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for my cycling and I highly recommend him to everyone that is looking to ride. ~~~~~Amy Jeske
I have had 2 or 3 bike fits in the past but the one I had with Tom was by far the best. Being a Physical Therapist, Tom addressed areas of imbalance and weaknesses that were never even brought up with other fittings. I am now more comfortable and can ride longer/faster then before. ~~~~~Andy Mangano
As a collegiate track sprinter who decided to switch to cycling due to injuries, I am extremely aware of my body and how I use it in order to mitigate injury yet push myself to my limits. I came to Tom (twice now, for two different bikes) searching for answers in how to keep injuries to a minimum whilst still staying competitive. The level of understanding he has of the body-bike interaction is profound. This allowed him to teach me about how I can stay healthy on and off the bike through strengthening/flexibility exercises specific to my body and history. He is incredibly generous, patient and an overall super nice guy. My second fitting with him ended up taking 5.5 hours because we went into such depth. I later had two more mini-sessions to address some issues that arose after a couple weeks of riding the new position (these future sessions were included in the price of the bike fit). A bike fit from Tom will leave you with so much more than just a bike fit.~~~~~Dorian Levine
I ride ridiculously long bike rides (600-1200k range). Over the past couple of years I've developed some issues with my ankles and knees which Tom was able to resolve by tweaking my bike fit and providing some off the bike stretches and exercises to address. I'm not going to pretend that I'm a bunch of roses after 750 miles, but what were becoming debilitating issues are resolved so I'm just left with expected ramifications of doing bike events of that length. Tom's process is pretty awesome in evaluating you, the bike, your needs and how to make those all work together over a pretty long session that is very thorough. He's very personable as a fitter and honestly it's pretty fun to hangout during the fit. ~~~~Joshua Haley
I recently had a bike fitting with Tom (owner of Cycling Solutions) for my TT bike, this was my first professional fitting. Tom explained the process in detail and what I should bring. Tom was very professional and thorough throughout the process, he answered all my questions and even explained the reasoning for position changes to my bike and gave suggestions to upgrades with no pressure to purchase. The proof is in the results; My first outdoor ride this season was 30 miles at 15.2 mph 100% in aero, no pain in my shoulders, neck or hips. Last year same route 12.63 @ 13.6 (had to stop due to discomfort in shoulders and neck). I'm so glad I found Cycling Solution and Tom. I highly recommend contacting him for your cycling needs. ~~~~Kara Pietrowski
Tom is not only knowledgeable and extremely thorough, he is exceptional at explaining how different modifications and changes will affect your cycling position, comfort, and efficiency. I spent nearly 4 hours in my first appointment with him, addressing a number of issues that have played me through a number of fitters. Not only that, he is extremely responsive with email updates and offering suggestions for a little tweaks in addition to follow up appointments and adjustments. Simply the best. ~~~~Gayan De Silva
Disclaimer:
Tom has been my good friend for 40+ years. The story at the end should prove that my inherent bias is irrelevant.
Tom first fit me on a Klein over a decade ago. We think he'd only done 20-30 professional fits before mine. Today that number is around 3,000, but all that says is that Tom has done a lot of bike fits.
After being sedentary for a few years, I recently acquired a new gravel bike, and Tom fitted me on it. I've ridden the bike a couple of hundred miles since. Zero numbness anywhere and no fit-induced discomfort. Just sore muscles, waking up from disuse. For reference, my experience goes back to the early 80s and includes competitive and recreational BMX, MTB, and Road riding.
I'm as comfortable on this bike as I can ever remember.
Earlier this week, I rode with Tom and two other friends. About halfway out, my seat post slipped a couple of inches into the frame. My fault for doing some home maintenance, and of course, the mark I'd made on the seat post for proper height had rubbed off. I had to guess how far to raise it. I asked Tom to look at my position, and we refined my saddle height twice based on his advice.
When I got home, I pulled up the data Tom had given me after our fit session. I figured I'd need to move the saddle to get it back where Tom had placed it originally. Nope.
Only eyeballing it, Tom got my saddle height back within .0625" (1/16th) of the correct value. That's crazy.
Tom is my friend. He doesn't need me to shill for him. He loves what he does, and his enthusiasm for riders is infectious. What happened above with my seat post has nothing to do with our friendship.
He's just that good.

Simply put, Tom is an excellent person to work with. It is wildly apparent that he is an expert in the field of bike fitting and all things bike mechanics.
I visited Tom to get a bike fit because of some cycling related pain I was having in my neck and upper back. I left with knowledge in how to strengthen and stretch the areas of my body that were giving me trouble as well as a bike that fits perfectly. Finally, Tom was available for questions after the bike fitting. It's nice to know that he is not interested in simply taking your cash and then falling off the face of the earth.
If you are in pain at all on your bike, you should 100% give Tom a call. ~~~~Joe Stallano
From beginning to end, Cycling Solutions is a true professional experience. Not only is Tom Wiseman an expert in the field, he provides an amazing amount of education that an amateur cyclist like myself can't get enough of. I was lost, in-pain and out of options with my current bike when I found Cycling Solutions. Fast forward to a month after my fitting and I can honestly say that a bike fit is one of the best investments I have made in my health and overall state of mind. I would (and have) recommend(ed) Cycling solutions to all my cycling friends and can't speak enough about the level of service and product. ~~~~Jeremy Sack
Forget ironclad will – when it comes to achieving an Ironman dream, you need an ironclad bike fitter. And that's exactly what I found in Tom! His expertise wasn't just about tweaking my bike; it was about sculpting my form ( and mindset) for the ultimate race-day symphony.
From the moment I walked into Cycling Solutions, Tom exuded a quiet confidence that instantly calmed my mind and lack of cycling experience. His keen eye spotted every nuance of my posture, pedaling, and even breathing, like a conductor deciphering a complex score.
The fitting process itself was a revelation. It wasn't just about measurements and adjustments; it was a dialogue between my body and the bike. Tom explained each tweak with the clarity of a seasoned coach, making me an active participant in my own optimization.
And optimize he did! The transformation was immediate. My rides became effortless, my power surged, and those nagging aches and pains vanished like desert mist. But the impact went beyond the physical. Tom's meticulous care instilled a deep confidence in my ability to conquer the Ironman and walk the red carpet.
If you're chasing an Ironman dream, don't just train hard, train smart. Find Tom at Cycling Solutions - the ironclad bike fitter, and together, you'll conquer the impossible.
So, a thousand thank yous, Tom! You're not just a fitter; you're an Ironman architect, a dream whisperer, and a legend in the making.
